Divi Contact Vault — User Guide
Everything you need to capture, organize, and respond to your Divi Contact Form submissions — from your first activation to advanced AI replies.
Getting started
Divi Contact Vault works alongside your existing Divi Contact Form modules — there's nothing to rebuild.
-
Install and activate the plugin
Upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, or drop the folder into
/wp-content/plugins/and activate it from the Plugins screen. -
Confirm Divi is active
You'll need the Divi theme or the Divi Builder plugin active, with at least one Contact Form module published somewhere on your site. If it's missing, you'll see a reminder in wp-admin.
-
Submit a test message
Fill out one of your own Contact Form modules from the front end. It should appear right away under Contact Vault in your wp-admin menu.
-
Explore Settings
Head to Contact Vault → Settings to see your current plan, and to configure AI, digests, or a webhook if you're on Plus or Pro.
How capture works
When someone submits a Divi Contact Form, Divi itself validates the entry, checks it for spam, and sends you its usual notification email. Only after that succeeds does Contact Vault save a copy to your WordPress database. That means:
- Nothing your visitors see or experience changes — no delay, no extra step.
- What lands in your dashboard is exactly what Divi already accepted, never anything that failed spam checks.
- It works identically whether the form was built in the classic Divi Builder or the newer Divi 5 Visual Builder.

The contacts dashboard
Everything captured lands under Contact Vault → Contacts — a searchable, sortable table of every submission.
Quick-view filters
Above the table, one-click filters let you jump straight to what matters:
- All, Today, This Week, Unreplied — available on every plan
- Flagged PLUS — submissions marked as likely duplicate or spam
- Hot Leads PRO — contacts the AI scored as high-urgency
Searching and sorting
Use the search box to find a contact by name, email, phone, or message content. Click any sortable column heading (Name, Email, Phone, Status, Received) to reorder the table.
Bulk actions
Select multiple contacts with the checkboxes, then choose Mark Archived, Mark Replied, or Delete from the bulk actions dropdown above the table.
Exporting
Three export buttons sit at the top of the page and always export whatever's currently filtered/searched on screen:
| Format | Available on | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| CSV | FREE | Universal spreadsheet format |
| JSON | PLUS | For developers or other tools |
| Excel (.xlsx) | PLUS | Opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers |
Viewing a contact
Click any contact's name to open their full detail screen.
What you'll see
- Every field they submitted — name, email, phone, message, plus any custom fields PLUS
- A Lead Score badge — Sales or Support intent, Hot/Warm/Cold urgency PRO
- A duplicate-submission warning if this email has submitted repeatedly PLUS
- An Internal Notes box for private team notes — never emailed to the contact PLUS
- A Reply panel to respond directly from the dashboard PLUS
Sending a reply
From the Reply panel, choose a method:
- A saved template — sends as-is, personalized with the contact's name/email/etc. PLUS
- A template + AI touch-up — the template, lightly personalized by AI to reference what they actually asked PRO
- Full AI-generated reply — written from scratch based on their message PRO
Whichever method you use, your configured signature (see Settings) is added automatically — no need to include one in a template.
Reply templates
Build a small library of reusable replies under Contact Vault → Templates.
Each template has a title and a body. Use these merge tags anywhere in the body — they're replaced automatically when a reply is sent:
| Tag | Replaced with |
|---|---|
| {name} | The contact's name |
| {email} | The contact's email |
| {phone} | The contact's phone number |
| {message} | Their original message |
| {site_name} | Your site's title |
| {business_name} | The business name set in Settings → Email Signature |
Settings, section by section
Everything lives under Contact Vault → Settings.
License
Shows your current plan and lets you activate a license or manage billing.
AI Autoresponder & Lead Scoring PRO
Choose OpenAI or Anthropic, paste your API key, set a reply tone, and optionally turn on auto-send so every new contact gets an AI reply the moment they submit. Lead scoring runs automatically in the background once your API key is set — no extra toggle needed.
Spam / Duplicate Detection PLUS
Set how many submissions from the same email, within how many minutes, should be flagged. Flagged contacts get a warning badge — nothing is ever auto-deleted.
Digest Email PLUS
Turn on a daily or weekly rollup email instead of (or alongside) getting notified for every single submission.
Outgoing Webhook PRO
Paste a URL to have every new contact sent there automatically as data — see Connecting a webhook below.
Email Signature
Set your business name and a signature block, automatically appended to every reply you send from Plus or Pro. Available on every plan to configure ahead of time.
AI features explained
Autoresponder
Writes a short, original reply based on the contact's actual message — thanking them, acknowledging what they asked, and setting expectations for a follow-up. Can send automatically on every new contact, or on demand from a contact's detail screen.
Template touch-up
Takes one of your saved templates and lightly adjusts it to reference the contact's specific message — cheaper and faster than a full generation, while keeping your own wording mostly intact.
Lead scoring
Every new contact is automatically classified two ways: Sales, Support, or Other intent, and Hot, Warm, or Cold urgency — so you can triage a busy inbox at a glance instead of reading every message.
Connecting a webhook
The outgoing webhook sends every new contact to a URL you choose, the moment it's captured — the fastest way to connect Contact Vault to almost anything else.
-
Get a webhook URL
From Zapier, Make, n8n, or any tool that can receive incoming data, create a new automation/scenario and copy the webhook URL it gives you.
-
Paste it into Settings
Go to Contact Vault → Settings → Outgoing Webhook and paste the URL in.
-
Build your automation
Back in Zapier/Make/n8n, use the incoming data to trigger whatever you'd like — add a row to a spreadsheet, post to Slack, create a CRM record, and so on.
FAQ
Does this work with the Divi 5 Visual Builder?
Yes. Divi 5's Contact Form module shares the same submission handler as Divi 4, so capture works identically without any extra setup.
What's the difference between Vault Pro and Vault Agency?
They're identical feature-for-feature. Agency is simply licensed for unlimited site activations instead of one — built for agencies managing several client sites on a single subscription.
Is there a free trial?
Vault Plus and Vault Pro both offer a 7-day free trial, card required up front — it converts automatically to a paid subscription unless cancelled. Vault Agency has no trial.
What happens to my data if I deactivate the plugin?
Nothing. Deactivating leaves your table and all captured data exactly as it was. Data is only removed if you delete the plugin entirely from the Plugins screen.
Will this slow down my contact form?
No. Capture happens after Divi has already processed and emailed the submission, so it never delays what your visitor sees. The webhook is also fire-and-forget for the same reason.
Do I need a separate account for the AI features?
Yes — your own OpenAI or Anthropic account and API key, entered under Settings. That usage is billed by them directly.
